2019 24 Days of Whisk(e)y - Day 20

Woo! Friday!!! Day 20, today we have Highland Park 12 Year Old "Viking Honour" Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 43% ABV. I bought this over the summer and have been slowly working on it since then, but figured I'd give it a review.

You get some nice salty aroma along with some sweet honey and a touch of smoke. Taste is sweet initially, but then becomes less sweet and there is some fruit and wood coming in. I recall not being a huge fan of this initially, but I think it's grown on me some. I don't know if it needs to be a permanent fixture in the liquor shelf, but perhaps I'll buy a different Highland Park to try. Rated 3.0/5.0
