2023 24 Days of Whisk(e)y - Day 19

Day 19 ... today, we have Bunnahabhain 12 Year, Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky at 46.3% ABV. This is not peated... I enjoyed the earlier Bunnahabhain back on the 6th, we'll see how this one is.

On the nose, this has a lot going on. Floral, honey, caramel, fruity sweetness, some sherry notes, and some chocolate. The taste follows the nose fairly closely - I'm finding the sherry, rich fruit, pepper, dark chocolate in the back, along with the malt. The finish has raisin, dry wood and chocolate.

With water, the nose is more floral. The taste I'm getting more honey and fruit. The finish turns a bit thin with water, so I do prefer this neat. Overall, this is very good and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Rated 4.0/5.0.
