On the nose, I get floral, black tea, brown sugar in the back, a touch of baking spice. It does smell hot proof wise, hotter than the 52.2% ABV. The taste I get more spice, black tea and cinnamon. The finish has a touch of oak funk and cinnamon, it does seem to linger a bit.
With water, the nose has more baking spice and rye spice. The taste is more sweet, and the finish is still spicy. Overall this is all right - better than the Pikesville, but not as good as I remember past Willett Ryes being. I'll rate it a 3.5/5.0, cheers!
